The Chinese Wall (originally Die chinesische Mauer) is a 1946 satirical play by Swiss playwright Max Frisch. It uses time-bending farce to critique the futility of building walls to halt history. Set in 220 BCE during the reign of Emperor Tzhin Zhe Huang Ti, it forces historical figures to confront humanity's apocalyptic potential.
